I'm not one to post pictures of myself. I suffer from a severe case of "don'twanttolookatmyself-itis." But I took a couple pictures on Christmas Eve that I thought I'd share.
The kitty and I in front of our wee little Christmas tree. I had to add a Santa hat to the picture because who doesn't love cats in hats? Especially when they already look so sad and miserable. I assure you she asked to take this picture. and there's a smile hidden somewhere on her face. And boy! my hair has gotten long (for me).
Kevin, me and Kevin's beard. Sure, the lumberjack jokes are getting a bit tired, but truth be told, I like his beard. It adds character. And really now, if I had the ability to grow facial hair like that (thank GOD I don't), I'd be sporting some sort of ironic beard or mustache right this very second.
But enough looking at us. On to bigger and better things.
A page from the dear old art journal. It was done on December 24th, and I was feeling utterly disappointed with how little handmade and domestic things I contributed towards Christmas this year. But let's face it ... Martha Stewart I am not, and I need sleep (at least 7 hours!) to function like a normal human being. Also, I don't understand Glimmer Mist, which is what I used on this. I like the look of it, but can't figure it out, and it turns my fingers weird colors.
And naturally, here are my resolutions for 2009. Aren't they vast? Truthfully, I'm still thinking about them. I don't want to hold myself to a long list of expectations because then I will be caught up in goals, rather than enjoying life. But, naturally, I do need to set some goals for myself for this year. Like, get my size 10 tushy back into a size 8. And print out my photos. And strengthen some friendships. And maybe even form some new ones. We will see. Hopefully I will have the list ready to share Thursday. We are hosting a party tomorrow night though, so I won't promise anything!
What are your resolutions? I'm curious. Tell me!
