To me, there is no such thing as too many Christmas decorations. If you've ever seen my parents' bathrooms come holiday time (which would be quite weird if you have), you would understand where I get this belief. This being the first Christmas that I'm decorating my own home, the Christmas tree (albeit adorable) and apple cinnamon Glade plug in, just simply aren't doing it for me. More! I need more!
I was delighted when I found this little wreath tutorial on The Red Thread, which has become one of my most favorite blogs lately. Lisa updates all the time, which is something I love! and with good stuff, which I love even more! You may notice some change in my wreath, mainly the leaf shape. Frankly, I don't have the patience to cut out ten bazillion leaf shapes. I tried. I got bored after ... 2. So I found an oval paper punch and went to town, running out of this paper at the very last leaf. All I need is a fat red ribbon to hang this with and I'll be set.
Why is this wreath so great? Mainly, cause it's something I made in just about an hour, which is perfect for my instant gratification-loving self. Also, because I was able to use up some leftover Christmas patterned paper from last year that I've been dying to use up. There is nothing I love more than a craft that doesn't require new materials, because with all the gift buying and making I'll be doing this month, there is nothing but pennies in the crafting budget.
Try it out! If you make it, I'd love to see pictures!
